As I'm sure you're all aware, this month's contest has been set by the winner of the July contest, the lovely

In the spirit of our favorite sidelined and minor Dark Angel characters that we all know and love:

At some point within the fic... Sketchy has to beat Alec in a pool game.

But how?

Sketch distracts Alec with someone pretty of questionable gender? Rigs the table? Slips Alec some rufies? Alec has some mobsters watching and has to lose or they'll catch on to his hustling... ? Maybe Alec set him up. Or maybe Max keeps knocking his elbow every time he makes a shot just for the hell of it? Is Alec just wasted? Maybe Alec lets him win because of... why? Did Sketchy ask Alec to take a dive so he could be all sorts of cool for a lovely someone that might be watching?

Use any of that or ignore it all to insert your own way here! ;)

It can be from any character's POV, S1-S2!

It can be a happy or sad or totally neutral ending, but Sketchy comes out in the end with the dirty wad of cash and a smile or a frown.

Hallo all! Your friendly mod here, just putting forth the good word!

So many people have joined since I started this, but strangely enough the comm has been suspiciously quiet. I'll be a bit more active after my exams are finished (One more week to go!), but let's get everyone posting, hm?

My proposal is that we have a monthly contest, in order to boost posting rates. As it's a bit late to have one this month, I'll give you the contest and the deadline will be the end of next month - July 31st. The winner will receive a banner saying how utterly awesome they are, and will get to give the theme for the next contest. Sound good?
If it's required, we can have different categories for fanart and icons as well.

This month's contest is...

Normal

That's right kids, Normal. The lack of Normal fic on the internet breaks my little heart, so it does. So Normal is your one requirement for this contest. He can be the main character, the story can be from his POV, he can be the reason why the other characters have to do something, it can be an AU where Normal is Eyes Only and Logan runs Jam Pony. Anyone who writes/draws/icons me Normal/Alec will get ~~my immortal soul and firstborn child~~ a cookie. Give me crack pairings, give me utter silliness, just get some Normal in there!

As I've said, deadline will be July 31st. You can post the fics before then, but please mark them with the words 'contest entry', and tag with the usual tags. I will provide the links in a mod post on August 1st, where you will be able to vote for who you think is the winner.

There are 22 people in this comm - let's try and get entries from at least half of you! Bip bip bip!
