Well, it's not exactly something new, and maybe some of you have already read the interview, but since we're having this Dark Angel 12 days, I thought I'd post it here anyway. It's a snippet from an interview with Megan Ory, the actress who played Rachel Berrisford on The Berrisford Agenda. In the interview (which you can find here) there's a teeny, tiny spoiler for Supernatural, so don't read if you're a spoilerphobe ;)

"I forgot about this, but it turns out that I had to slap Jensen on Dark Angel, our characters were in love and we get into this big fight," she says. "I was practicing without really hitting him but it was looking really bad. Jensen said, 'OK just hit me, just do it.' I slapped him so hard that his head went around and he had a hand-print on his face."

LoL, poor Jensen, the things he does for his job :P

Also, I'd like to rec another old but very funny anecdote about Jensen back in the DA days, told by Doris Egan herself, the genius who created the character of Ben thus indirectly gave us Alec. I guess many of you already know about this, but if you don't I promise it's a very good read :D

Here's an excerpt:

When I worked on Dark Angel I created a character, one of Max's missing siblings, who as a child was the mythmaker of the group. He kept them from losing faith in themselves by telling stories in the darkness of the dormitory, stories with heroes and spirits and demons, and now that Max is all grown up and the group is scattered and in hiding, she finds that people are being murdered according to the mythological details of those childhood stories. Her beloved storyteller has grown into a serial killer.

This was a tough role to cast. You needed someone you could believe was a genetically engineered human; who could, when necessary, radiate both intelligence and menace; who could be scary one minute, and who could give you a lump in the throat the next from his sheer vulnerability when he admits to Max that he's broken and begs her to kill him.
