I FAIL. Missed the last couple months of these, but now that RL and my BB fever are calming down some, we should be able to get back on schedule. Sorry about that!
Remember that recs go in the comments of THIS post. Please DO NOT post recs directly to the comm in separate posts.
RULES:
❶ You can rec any fanwork relating to Dark Angel, as long as it fits this month's theme.
What qualifies as hurt/comfort: stories in which the presence of emotional or physical angst of one character is followed by the emotional or physical comfort by another. A proper H/C story contains enough 'comfort' to equal or out-weigh the amount of 'hurt' experienced; if not, then the story qualifies as 'angst' more so than 'H/C', if not full 'whump'. Source.
❷ Recs can be new or old, as some of us are still new to the fandom and haven't seen it all yet. We'd love to see classics as much as the more recent stuff, so dig deep into those bookmarks and rec away.
❸ One rec per comment. There's no limit to how many recs you can post, though, so go crazy.
❹ No self-recs, please.
❺ WIP recs are allowed. Just mention that it's a WIP somewhere in your notes, for those wary of that kind of thing.
❻ How to rec:
Your subject line should list the type of fanwork (fic, art, etc.), title, and the author/artist/source. Like so: FIC: Title by Author -- ART: Untitled by Artist -- VID: Title by Vidder -- META: Title by Author, etc. etc..

EXAMPLE REC:
FIC: Shakedown by dollarformyname
Title: Shakedown
Author/Artist/Source:
dollarformyname
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: none listed
Genre/Pairing: Gen. Humor.
Word Count: none listed; one-shot
Summary/Description: White goes to great pains to make tryptophan scarce in Seattle and, once the seizures set in, promises to supply Terminal City with all the medicine they could ever need if they agree to hand over 452. Cue infighting.
Reccer's Comments: This would be the be an awesome story if it existed. SOMEONE WRITE IT FOR REAL.
❼ Also, LURKERS. It's your time to shine! You know, secretly. :P Anonymous comments are enabled, and IP logging is off for the moment. So don't be shy and come play with us! Or, you know, do be shy, but still come play. :)
❽ Don't forget that you can always go here to suggest more themes, any time, as many times as you want.
❾ Questions? Comments? Fire away. And feel free to second other people's recs, add your own comments about why everyone should check it out, engage in general squee, etc..
HAVE FUN!

FIC: Standing the Heat by veronamay

Author/Artist/Source:
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: In Heat – if that’s considered a warning.
Genre/Pairing: Hurt/Comfort (yummy sexual healing) – Logan/Alec
Word Count: 3,500
Summary/Description: He notices when Max disappears for a couple of days and comes back looking hollow-eyed and haunted, of course he does, but he never figured it'd happen to him.
Reccer's Comments: A great ‘Alec in Heat’ scenario. I love how angry and vulnerable Alec is but still tries to use his head to resolve it. Logan is just awesome in how supportive he is of Alec’s needs. And the smex is lovely!
