Alright Ficcers, I've been a little lax in my reminding duties this month due to everything that's going on, but this month's contest - Unadulterated Loathing - is still open and your entries are due in just over a week!

If you're interested in hearing the song, I've reuploaded it here. We've only had two entries so far and there are nearly 90 members now! The entries are due in by October 31st for a poll to go up the following day.

Come on ficcers! Once we get this contest out of the way we can move onto an easier one!

I'm extending the deadline of this month's contest, partly because we've only had two entries and partly because I'm just not going to have time at the moment to sort out the poll and everything, what with the move.

So you now have until October 31st to get your entries in. Sorry about the delay!

Okay, so, as I won the last contest I've got to think up the challenge for this month (the whole point of these contests was so that someone else could think up the challenges, come on people!)

Loathing

So, the rather delightful song What is this Feeling? from the musical Wicked.

Now, I think this song could be used to describe any number of relationships in Dark Angel. Max and Alec springs to mind immediately for me. Or Zack and Logan. Hell, maybe Original Cindy and Normal.

Your challenge then, ficcers, is to use this song in a fic. You can use the lyrics or just the sentiment, as long as somewhere in there there's a bit of "unadulterated loathing". Whether it lasts to the end of the fic or not is your choice entirely - remember in the musical, the two characters who sing this become best friends shortly thereafter; whether you want to go that same route is up to you.

As with last time, the poll will go up on September 1st and it'll be up for three days. The winner will be announced on the 4th, and then I will get in contact with them for the topic of the next contest, which I'll need by September 6th at the very latest. If you can get it back to me on the 4th, that would be great.


There's a chance that next month's contest might have a bit of an extension, due to the fact that I move into my dorms on October 1st. Hopefully I should be able to get the poll up before I go, but if not I'll post a notice and it'll be a two-month contest.
